Semester Goals

One late night/morning at 2 am Valen, Elisabeth, and I came up with a list of things we want to do this semester. Here it is.

Winter to do list
  • Big Juds (2 lb. burger, anyone?)
  • Extreme snowboarding
  • Snowbuilding/ 4 wheelers
  • Weekend away-
    -Driggs-Timeshare or Idaho Falls-hotel w/pool
  • Build an igloo
  • Snowball fight (outside city limits, as it is illegal in Rexburg)
  • Blow out dance party
  • Chocolate dipping party
  • Get tan as ....
  • Camping (no boys allowed)
  • Winter survival camp (no luxuries)
  • Kiss a boy (which later turned to man)
  • Get jacked (meaning get muscles)
  • Go hiking
  • Do something psychotic
I think this will be a great semester. It already has been. The roommates are great. The ward is very social and they like to eat. Hmm. We have a lot in common. I am hoping to get good at snowboarding. I want to get good grades, with 17 credits that might be challenging, we shall see. I'll keep you updated. If you have any ideas to add to the list, let me know :)
Enjoy your day.

Dear Letters

Disclaimer: Gentlemen of America, if you happen to be reading this blog... I would like to address the fact that I am indeed available. Don't be shy. :)

Dear potential,
I love when you text me. Automatic smile comes to my face.
Keep the texts coming. It is much needed.
Sincerely,
Thankful girl

Dear fling,
I wish you didn't swear and watch R movies. Change that please. You make me laugh and are quite the romantic. I wouldn't have to change apart of my life that I love, if we got married. Just sayin. :)
Sincerely,
secret crush

Dear Lover of the past,
Thank you so much for telling me. You were always full of class.
Greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Glad I can move on

Dear HTs,
Thanks for coming over. Thanks for being so willing to help us. We might just take you up on the jambas and cookies. The cinnamon rolls were amazing!
Sincerely,
girls of 309

The Great Unknown

The main purpose for starting this blog was this question.
Question asked on my online business communications class: What is my life's mission?
Why am I here? This seems to be the running theme of this week. We talked about this question as well, in Sunday school: What is your purpose here? I have spent much time thinking and pondering about this topic. Why am I here? What is my purpose? To be honest, I'm not really sure. I ask myself the same questions: What is in store for me? Why did I come to BYU-Idaho?
Am I in the right major? (If, I'm not it's too late now. I am NOT switching. Graduation is too close).
After I got denied from Provo my only choice was BYU-Idaho. Trust me, I did NOT want to come here. My parents went here and it wasn't what I wanted. After attending school here, I love it. Although, I'm still not sure why I am here. I thought I knew or had an idea, but after this past week, that was nixed. Yes, something may happen in the future or something else will be in store. Not knowing is a bit exciting, but deeply nerve wracking. The thing is, the Lord knows what you need. Often times it isn't what we want.
I think one of the hardest things in life is thinking you have everything or at least some things all planned out. Then it changes and you are left wondering what if, why not, how come?
If you had the opportunity to see into the future, would you take it?
Why or why not?
